Jennifer's Tip of the Week - 12/23/2009


If you do not own a pedometer, go get one! This little device senses your body motion and and counts your footsteps. By wearing this tool and recording your daily steps and distance is an incredibly motivational tool.

You can pick up a pedometer as cheap at $5.00 or all the way up to $30.00+. I recomend just purchasing a simple step counting pedometer. This is all you need to keep track of your daily steps and to keep you motivated to move more.

Set a goal of distance or steps each day and get moving! The recommended number of steps for health is 6000. For weight loss, 10,000 when you count all your steps through out the day. For weight loss, an uninterrupted walk each day of 4000-6000 per day.

What a great tool to utilize when you are getting started on your journey! Remember, every step of movement counts and moves you closer to your weight loss goal.
